About Us
Hugh Mills began his funeral business in 1806 although like a great many funeral firms at that time, his main business was building. Looking after the great houses of people like the Singer family (sewing machines) and wealthy tobacco merchants.
Later amalgamating with William (Bill) Gaye they decided to concentrate exclusively on funeral directing.
Walter C. Parson Ltd took over the running of Hugh Mills Gaye in July 2006, re-opening the Babbbacombe office in October of that same year.
The present team consist of Harold Quick and Harri Sams.
